Raindrop Practitioner & Specialist DesignationsThe Natural Therapies Certification Board (NTCB) is affiliated with The Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education, Inc. (CARE) - a non-secular educational organization dedicated to assembling research and disseminating information on the healing properties and therapeutic applications of essential oils. The focus of the program is to teach Raindrop Technique and associated skills, as originated and taught by D. Gary Young. This is accomplished through a series of courses that anyone can take. These include the Healing Oils of the Bible, Applied Vitaflex, Raindrop Technique, Emotional Release, Essential Oil Science and Chemistry, Basic Principles of Aromatherapy as well as Hands-on Practice and other Healing Skills. The Natural Therapies Certification Board offers two designations for those who have been approved by CARE: 1. Participants who have satisfactorily completed the first 72 hours of the CARE Certification Program, which includes completion of the formal classes of a CARE Intensive (Reqs. 1-5, 25 hrs.), have completed the non-class practicums (Reqs. 6-10, 43 hrs.) and the Return Demonstration (Req. 11, 4 hrs.) have the option of applying for the Certified Raindrop Practitioner (CRP) designation. The Scope of Practice for the CRP includes:
2. Certified CARE Instructors (CCI) in good standing may apply for Board Certified Raindrop Specialist (BCRS) certification. Scope of Practice for the BCRS is as follows:
To practice raindrop legally as a CRP or BCRS without any other healthcare related license, you must also be a Licensed Spiritual Healer (LSH) under the auspices of the Alliance of Christian Healers Licensing Board (ACHLB). You may apply for being both a CRP and LSH or BCRS and LSH on the same form, submitting the fee for both at the same time. Those holding certificates as a CRP or BCRS and a license as an LSH may practice raindrop legally in all 50 states and all provinces of Canada. You are also eligible for liability insurance. See the current CCI Handbook for complete details. Those who teach or practice Raindrop and/or Vitaflex as a CRP/LSH or BCRS/LSH must agree to use only Young Living essential oils as mentioned on the application form. You may download an application through the links below or on the NTCB website. Downloads: CRP and BCRS are each good for three years and renewal is contingent upon accumulating 60 CEUs (continuing education credits). CRP and BCRS certificates are issued immediately upon application. Upon application for LSH, you must complete either the "Healer Coach Course" at www.healercoach.com or the Aromatherapy for Spiritual Healers Course" accessible through www.aromatherapycoach.com. These are taught via teleconference and are usually offered four times a year. Instructors for these classes will notify NTCB when you complete one of them. NTCB will then authorize the issuance of your LSH license, the fee for which you will have already submitted with your CRP or BCRS application. LSH is reissued annually and you will be notified by ACHLB when due. Completing either of these two courses also suffices to fulfill the 60 hours continuing education for CRP or BCRS. Full details are given in the latest CCI Handbook, pp. 52-53, 91-92 (13th edition, July 2008, and subsequent printings). Copies of the CCI Handbook are available through this website, or by calling (800) 758-8629. All CRP/BCRS/LSH applicants must apply for directly through CARE, RR
